Koay's Love Language #4 and #5.

#4
*calls me on the phone*
Him: Babe, where are you?
Me: On the way back to office. Why ah?
Him: I bought pineapple for you.
Me: Yay. Serious ah? Okay okay. I meet you at the lorong.
Him: Okay okay.

I have been missing this page a lot. I have been wanting to update on the Singapore trip but somehow my photos are just giving me major headache.

There's about 150 photos to be transferred but only about 60 managed to go through. The rest don't know what happen.

I feel like I have enough time but when it's the weekends or weekday nights, I feel like I'm just gonna waste the hours in front of the laptop trying to update my blog instead of hanging out with friends.

Though sometimes, I really do want to be in my pajamas, tie my hair up (wait, it's short now so no need to tie! Heh), wears my glasses, sip on a cup of hot green tea, put one of my leg up on the chair and be in that comfort zone.

So far, it's not happening because it seems like most nights I already have plans and the only time when I actually can choose to stay home or go out is when the lover has floorball training to go to.

When there's no training, I obviously will choose to go out with him or spend time just looking at him doing his work. Hah. Nolah, just kidding. I'm not that obsessed. I have better things to do than to look at his face. Heh.

Speaking of floorball, recently I found myself dwelling on the thought of going back to playing floorball. It is a very nice sport to play and with all the nice people. The thing is I cannot commit myself to the weekly training. I would like to just play for fun but then again, I want to do well in it. No need to talk about stamina because it's obviously somewhere else. What stamina?

Ask me climb a mountain hill, can. Ask me run fast for few minutes, cannot.

Oh well.

I promise the surprise trip post is gonna come real sooon.

I shall finish off this post with his fifth.

*while brainstorming on what to have for dinner with friends*
Him: Ehh, we can all eat the buka-puasa-food. *long pause suddenly* Ehh. It's puasa time d! Let's do our buka-puasa date.
Me: Oh ya. Can lah. Still got one month.
Him: You obviously forgot about our tradition right? Admittt. Just admit it. *so determined to prove that I forgot about it so that he can feel better for forgetting on other major things* HAHAH.
Me: Nooo.. I didn't forget la. I just didn't bring up because puasa just started only what. *smiles*
Him: Yeah right. You forgot. Memang pun you forgot. Oklah, like that we do tomorrow okay? :)

Three years together and sometimes it feels as if we just started not too long ago.

Buka puasa by the beach today. Yeeepiii.

Koay's Love Language #1, #2 and #3.

So, this is something new that I just randomly decided to have of the conversations that I have with Koay. Mainly for future purposes when I wanna read back. OR AS PROOF WHEN I WANT TO CLAIM THAT MONEY FOR THE FOOD --> read below to get what I mean. Heh.

This is quite important because being a humble guy he is, he had always 'apologize' to me for being a total 'loser' in the romantic things. Things like bringing me on an expensive dinner on our special days, saying romantic things and do all kinds of romantic things that people he knows are doing to their better half.

Despite me telling him thousands of times that I don't go for these things. I don't in fact agree with spending five hundreds dollars on a dinner on a special day just to show how much the guys loves a girl? If that's something that the guy can afford then that's their story.

Our story is simple. We do not let all the romantic things cloud us of our expectations on one another. We know very well where we both are in this. Expectations. Yet, I think deep inside he still feels like every girl wants a guy who is really good at their words, doing all the romantic gestures like buying flowers on a random day, bringing the girl to holidays et cetera and I am a girl, so somehow, I guess he thinks that I sure want that. Nope. Flowers die too quickly and too expensive some more. Hah.

The thing is he failed to realize that he's so romantic in every other way WITHOUT HIM REALIZING IT AT ALL. That is why I want to record it here.

Mister Muthu, if you are reading this, please know that you have been the most loving and caring and I am the most blessed to be loved by you.

So, here goes #1, #2 and #3 of Koay's unknowingly romantic (my definition) gestures. His way of showing love. His love language.

*On the phone with him after work on Friday. He was already in KL for SEA Games preparation*
Him: What you gonna eat for dinner wor?
Me: Err. I think I'll just cook maggi mee at home. Not feeling too well..
Him: Mom didn't cook ah?
Me: Yeah.. No one is gonna be home.
Him: Tapau something?
Me: Umm. No money lah. Overspent last month. Nvm la. Maggi mee is okay.

*Later at 10pm, I received a message from Jack, his good buddy*
Jack: Hello Kutu! How are you doin? Makan d ah?
Me: Hello! Yeah, went out for dinner with my sister and bro in law. Why? Want to belanja me ah?
*Jack didn't reply because later I found out that he was asleep*

*Whatsapp-called (because somehow skype very lag) the lover later on before sleeping*
Me: Ehhh. Funny just now Jack out of nowhere texted me and asked if I ate d..
Him: Oh isiit? Actually.. I texted him, asked him tapau food and deliver to your house, but he fell asleep because he just finished work. Haha.
Me: Whattt? Awww. You crazy boy.

*I woke up at about 530am because I forgot to switch off my alarm last night and couldn't sleep after that. Had some trouble breathing normally so I sat up and checked my whatsapp and replied him*
Him: Awake? So early?
*called me since he was still in KL, about to board the bus to Singapore for SEA Games*
Me: Yeah. Alarm went off and I don't feel good now babe. I cannot breathe..
Him: Har! Are you serious?
Me: Mmhmm. *breathes in deeply*
Him: Go drink hot water now. Now ah. Go go. (look who's bossy now! :P)
*hangs up the phone and I dragged myself to the kitchen to get hot water*

*phone rings again*
Him: Drink d? Feel better? Go back to sleep okay?
Me: Err.. I think a bit better lah. Okay. Love you.

*few hours later, he called again to check if I feeling okay. The thing is he was the one who had high fever few days ago of suspected dengue. Thank God everything is good now. No more fever!*

#3
*I've been eating lesser starting this month because I really overspent the moolahs last month and it is quite okay because I eat my dinners at home every weekdays. It's just the weekends or certain days when my mom doesn't cook or coffee-time with friends that I usually will not order*
Him: Eat better food babe. Not bread and all.
Me: It's okay lah. I can eat bread and other things. I don't want and have no extra money to spend on food d.
Him: You just order what you want to eat okay? Claim from me when I come back!
Me: Whatttt. Awww.

08 January 2015

Victor, Rama and Arya.

I was at the original North Zone Church of FGA Centre on a fine Sunday. I was standing right in front of the notice board where updates on church missionaries are all posted up there. There was one particular guy who stood out among all other missionaries.

I was looking at his photo. He was sitting on top of a water tank, topless and smiling at the photographer. I saw all kinds of tattoos on his body and suddenly, I felt that I needed to meet this man. I want to meet him and hear his stories. From what I have heard earlier, he was a drug addict and God changed his life and now he became who he is today.

Those were just stories that I hear from people.

So, there and then, I poked the photo (I have no idea why I poked it at that time) and I prayed (I was a brand new Christian)

"God, I want to meet him in person and hear his stories"

That was 12 years ago.

I'm not gonna go into details because it'll be too long.

He came back from India one day and was working with FGA Centre.

I DID MEET HIM and I DID HEAR HIS STORIES from the person himself. I was instantly reminded of that prayer that I made many years ago. So, I was super thankful.

Then, he was appointed to be the Youth Pastor of fireBRANDS.

Like whatttttt?

I did'n't only get to meet him, become his friend.. I was super blessed to work alongside him for few years. Those years were one of the best years in fireBRANDS for me.

He was an answered prayer and God did not only gave me what I prayed for but more. He was a blessing that moved me into tears and left me in silence.

Yes, I was really sad when he left fireBRANDS. I've loved working with him and always will. For sure got opportunity again in the future, I believe.

I love this beautiful family. Victor, Rama and Arya.

We went for dinner together last night and we talked till 12:15am at the balcony overseeing the beach. What can be better? Nothing.

Seriously nothing.

Just for fun, three of us are wearing braces now! Heh.

Thank you Mr Tesco, Rama and Arya for being a part of my life. We love you guys! :)

Ohhh and I want my babies to be like Arya. She's the easiest and nicest baby to be around with. COME LET CHE CHE SARAH BABYSIT YOU FOR ONE DAY, ARYA! :)

p.s excuse the photo quality. It was taken with the Samsung, not iPhone. Heh. Oh by the way, it felt good not having a phone by my side throughout the night. So good.

23 October 2014

Happy Deepavali 2014.

So here I am trying to calm myself down and write type this.

Fuhhhh. This is difficult. I'm a bit too excited to finish work today. Then, we'll be on our way to the highlands. Maybe overly excited.

Before I begin,  let me just explain just why I'm feeling too excited.

It's my first time ever going for this kind of holiday. It's just too exciting. Real camping under the trees, in the jungle, sort of. It's crazy to know that we'll be sleeping in tents for the next three nights. Starting tonight :)

Okay, back to this.

So, like I said yesterday, it was a very productive day.

Knowing the fact that it was going to be a Public Holiday the next day, I went out with one of my favorite boy, Jer and other boys. We hung out at PSC till the sun almost came out. There was just so many things we talked about and it was undoubtedly one of the most fun night I've had since very long time. So, that was nice.

I slept at 5am and woke up at 9am. Four hours of not very pleasant sleep and no, I'm not complaining. Heh. We went to the cemetery and had brunch at Song River with the family.

Koay and I left earlier and headed to a friend's place for a Deepavali visit. We ate again. Not so much this time. We stayed a while and it was time to leave again.

We didn't even have any time to hold hands and breathe. Haha.

Anyways, we drove back to town and went a massage session. I bought this on Groupon long time ago but we kept delaying them because neither one of us are usually free at the same time or they don't have the free slots that we do, so yeah.

Since we were going to hike up that mountain early morning tomorrow, might as well relax our body first. Haha. Our treatment was called 2 hours Full Body Aromatherapy + Hot Stone Therapy.

We were served hot glass of ginger tea and did our feet massage thingy first. We didn't know it was included in the package but why not since they giving to us anyways. Then, they told us they were going to 'wax' our feet. Dipped both our feet in melted wax. HOT MELTED WAX.

I find them really hot but for Koay, it was nahh.. Wuttt? His skin is like plastic or something. Hehe.

Can I just say that this is the best massage that we both have ever had?

It was..

All the ones that we went previously was either too painful or too painful. This one was perfect. Also, all the one we went didn't have as much privacy as we would like it to be. We were both separated into two 'cubicles' separated by a cloth/curtain. We were asked to not wear anything other than the disposable underwear given.

They only open the cloth/curtain after we were both lying down on the massage table, covered with more cloth. Very comfortable okay. There were like heating pad underneath our body. MOST COMFORTABLE THING EVER!

We had the most amazing time relaxing doing nothing but have our body massaged.

My favorite part has got to be when they use the hot stones on our back. At first, it was too hot for me but after that, I wanted more of those stones. Definitely my type of massage. More hot stones massage for us okay, Koay? :)

Believe it or not but we decided to go straight to Giant to get some of our groceries for the camping RIGHT AFTER the massage. Usually, people would go home and take a short nap or something.

We shopped a while, went home and rested and then out again for his dad's one-month-early birthday dinner at Eden, Hutton Lane. It was probably the quickest and simplest dinner because we were all pretty worn out.

When I got home though, I watched two episodes of The Walking Dead before I call it a night. Haha. Love this TV series.

Ahhh. What a fun day it was. Public holiday not wasted for sure :)

Also, I probably won't be able to update till when I come back from Cameron Highlands. Maybe I will try to do some with my Goldii, but let's see how.

I can literally hear Koay saying this to me now, "Go holiday no need to use phone so much lah.. except take photos nia.."

He's right. I won't.

Okay, bye you guys.

24 July 2014

Belated Graduation Gift.

It's crazy you know.

It's been almost two years since I walked on that stage receiving that scroll.

1st of August will be my two years exactly of being with this company.

Super madness.

Anyways, my sister has always wanted to get me a cross necklace as my graduation gift but never did because couldn't find one that I like. That and when I did find one that I like, it's way too over the budget, like four figures way over kind. So yeah.

Finally, spotted on at Gurney plaza and it's on sale sumore. Such goodie good.

We went to get it and needless to say, I was the happiest this week that day.

Made of solid silver and coated with white gold.

Lifetime warranty on all parts and services.

It's simple and unique because it's a bit senget.

The rest that I saw had a little too much bling and I do not really like too sparkly things.

So, this is the chosen one.

Never gonna take it out. Can wear 24 hours even during shower time. It will not turn yellow and even if it does, it will take a long time, and no need to worry because they provide a LIFETIME warranty on all parts and services.

Thank you, che!

You are the best fireball, hot mama :)

11 February 2014

24 Hours of Being Officially 26.

I think I can say that this year's birthday is the simplest and the one that i enjoyed most by far. I realized now the more simple it is, the better. No, age is NOT catching up. That's NOT the reason obviously :)

He kept looking at his watch on the 9th Feb so that he will be the first one to wish me. Baby girl who was sleeping next to me was already sleeping soundly. The moment the clock hits 12:01am, I mentally tell myself, "That's it. You're now 26. No turning back man, no turning back!" Before I went to bed, he prayed a birthday prayer over me. The first 5 hours of being 26 was spent two times in between carrying Sha Lynn and singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star until she falls asleep again.

The next eighteen hours..

So, if you have read the post where I mention about what koay got for me, you probably could figured out where he brought me on my special day.

TO THE BEACH! Okay, wait.. More like to the ROCK! I woke at 510am (partly because Sha Lynn was sleeping next to me and she was crying that time) and got myself ready. I asked him before why we needed to go so early for fishing. His reply was, "The fish all just wake up and they sure very hungry!"

First stop at 7am! Who drinks iced caramel macchiato early in the morning? WHO!?

Drove to the market to get our baits. Sardines and prawns.

Then, we parked and waited in the car for a while because it was too dark to go down still. While waiting, Koay prayed for me, us and the entire day. Then, it was time. TIME TO GET THOSE FISHES!

The rock that we were on for a good four hours! Big and strong :) It became my favorite place immediately.

The rock is so high up that it's so beautiful from up there. Beautiful and very dangerous! Hahaha. Threw in my first bait of the day and...

WALAA! That's less than a minute okay! Maybe he's right about the fishes waking up and feeling hungry! Heh.

He also got one almost immediately he threw them in. I'm not exaggerating! Seriously it was that fast!

One of the things I really love about fishing is getting the hook off the fish. It can feel pretty cruel but then again, people say fish don't feel pain eh. So yeah. Top left is the bait sardine. Then the right one is another one that I just caught :)

Total catch of the day: 13! We both caught one really big one each. He let go of his biggest catch because he didn't want to unhook it so he left the hook inside the fish. It's a poisonous one that's why. At least that's what he said la. Mine leh, when I got it, I was so happy, literally cheering loud and then the fish just slipped away while hanging on the rod that I was holding. I should have immediately put it down and get it into the bag. SHOULD HAVE! Gahhh. Nevermind, 13 is still very good. I caught most of it! *proud*  Oh! Did I mention that he killed two black huge round bees becuase they were invading our romantic fishing getaway! Haha. He was just too scared of them la so best way is to face them and kill! Hahaha.

Thanks babe for the amazing start of the day. I love fishing now. Super love!

After fishing, we drove back home to get nice clean shower. Then, we went to Gurney for my birthday lunch. One thing I love about today is that he has everything planned out already. So, when I suggest something else, he's like, "Excuse me miss. Please follow the itinerary that I made."

It was so funny. We went to Nandos, because he just need to follow the footstep of Adnandos. The footballer who went to Nandos for his first date despite of the millions that he's making in playing football. So yeah. I love Nandos so no problem for me :)

After lunch, we bought yee sang from Sakae Sushi and headed home. It was such a torture to drive home. We were both trying our best to keep our eyes open. SO DIFFICULT! We were so sleepy. So so sleepy. The moment we got home, we washed our feet and that's it. I wanted to help my mom with steamboat preparation but no, can't do. TOOO TIRED. It must be because I only sleep for 2-3 hours the night before.

When my mom woke us up in the evening, it was time for our CNY reunion dinner/birthday dinner. Two in one bestnya!

Lots of photos me and people coming up. I have to take photos with mom's cake of course. IT'S THE BEST CHEESECAKE I'VE EVER TASTED! Not being bias at all! Have you guys even tasted the cheese tarts that she makes? Boy, you are all missing outt! Order through me! For sure you will love it!

Loving your hair, Koay :)

We ended the night with this. So I thought..

I was feeling pretty tired and my sister convinced me to go bathe. So I did. I also changed to my pajamas, and be at my most comfortable state.

Then..

They came in singing the birthday song.

TOTALLY NEVER EXPECTED IT! Earlier, I asked Koay if got surprises all because I wanna wear pajamas and all. He confidently said, "Of course don't have! You check my msg and see!"

So I believed him and nothing seem suspicious at all ma. I thought I'm quite good at revealing surprises all. Apparently not good enough. Haha.

Fun Fact 03: I only wear pajamas to sleep on special occasions.

Thanks guys for coming! Love you all :)

Also, thank you all to those who wished me in Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, text messages and whatsapp! Thank you so much! You all made the day even better. Turning twenty six isn't as bad/miserable as I thought it would be. I hope I can say the same when three zero hits me.

Special thanks to Andrew for my second's Manchester United's jersey, Leroy and Eulene for the comfy blue sweater, and lastly, Adrian Koay for my first fishing rod! :)

It was a great 10th February!

"10 February 1988 is
both your happiest/proudest moment of life
because the best thing that ever happens in your life happened!"

So I told my parents last night.

:)

27 June 2013

The Love For B.

Yesterday (and today!), I did some research on the latest Blackberry Q10.  The more I looked
at it, I kinda like it even more. The first time when I saw it was in Gurney Plaza. And I kinda instantly hated it. Didn't really like the look of it. Feel that not very nice compared to Blackberry Bold 9900/9930. But then again, I kept googling them and liking them even more.

Not only that, I just found out through watching a video on it that we can have the Instagram app through the Crackberry. SOUNDS OKAY TO ME! But then, I am still in contract with my current S2. So downzz okay. Want to save money for the house some more. I don't know what to do la!

Then, this morning tried calling Koay so many times but he never answers. In the end, had to call one of our friend who happened to work in the same company to call him. That also tak jadi. In the end, Aaron came down by himself to get Koay's electronic card from me. So geram okayy! Apparently, Koay's hp was in hang mode and didn't even get any calls from me. Wahhh! You have no idea how stress I was this morning! I was already late to work.

Anyways, later then he called and explained all that and stuff. Then, this sweet thing happened :)

Koay: My phone really gone case.
Me: You and your phone together gone case la.
Koay: Abo, I buy new phone?
Me: *keeps quiet*
Koay: I buy your phone then you can go buy your Blackberry lo!
Me: WHAT??!! How much you want to pay for my S2?
Koay: RM500. Actually your hp I see worth only RM400, but since you my gf, I give you RM500 la.
Me: Seriouslyy?? But got no Instagram app wor in Blackberry! (I haven't watch the video yet that time)
Koay: Too bad la.
Me: Nvm, the Instagram app in your "new phone" is my account la.
Koay: *laughs evil style* you ban ban tan.

HAHAHA. He rather settle for a second-hand phone so that I can actually get mine. Wow. Maybe he felt really bad for all the times I called him and forever no answer. But whatever it is, that made my day. Knowing that I actually have another option to getting the baby. Of course what also made my day is the fact that he's so sweet and thoughtful. Ahhh.. :)

But it's still so expensive leh! Ahhh. I should just shut this down and forget about it. Sadness wei.

On another note, it's winter wonderland everyday in office. I have no idea why is everyone else like numb to the temperature. I need two sweaters and that also, I still feel very brrr..

ONE MORE DAY TILL WEEKEND. YESLA! :)

20 June 2013

Thailand Team Reunite.

So, we met up last night at Ps Jonathan's house for some bonding time together. It's been weeks since we came back and oh how much we all missed that place, food, and the people. So, Pastor and his lovely wife, Lydia cooked up a storm to host us. Amazing Tomyam soup and non-spicy soup with Tesco roasted chicken of two flavors!

It's not the food or the coconut milkshake or Bella the puppy or the Digital Game that I won twice in a row (ahem for the first timer!) that we played together that made the night so fun.

It's the people that were there. It's the family that has welcomed up into their house and boy, we were so loud and noisy. I am missing the random laughter already.

Thank you again, Pastor Jonathan, Lydia, Joy, and Liz for all the hosting you gave to us! We all love you and your family! :) And I love your mini pillows, Liz! I actually "ordered" 10 pieces of her handmade mini pillows because they are so soft, cute, and loveable. I felt bad but she said she loves doing it! :) People, you want to buy pillows, you come to find me. She's only 11 years old but her pillows are TWO THUMBS UP! :)

And we did discuss next year's plan to Thailand already :)
