Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat.

Title is based on a DJ's remix. Calvin something.. Not sure who.. Just thought need to clarify in case some of you actually think I went to one rave and got addicted to it or something.

Here's my take on my first rave, away from home.

We drove down to KL after work on Friday with Jack and Carmen. Coincidentally, it's also their first rave. It was actually Jack who suggested that we all go together since it's all our first time, and since it was only about RM100, we thought why not.

Crashed at a friend's place for the next two nights. All four people in one room. Not that bad actually.

Slept in till about 11-ish on the Saturday and went shopping after lunch at Village Park. The nasi lemak is yummeh. Got a couple of tops in Uniqlo and had korean food for teatime. Kim chi stew has gots to be the best thing ever. Then, we all went home, had a quick rest and then it's off again on the road to Sepang.

Eh.. No.. We went for bak kut teh first at SS14, or SS15. I can't tell. KL is too messed up. Haha. Anyways, the rave started at 5pm, but by the time we parked our car, it was already 8ish 9ish..

After the first "check in", I was lime, "Whoa! That'a lot of people here tonight and all late!"

After the second and third check-ins, literally no words came out except, "Wow! Wow!"

It's like all the youth in KL decided to all meet here isit? Not all youth also. I saw one auntie prolly in her fifties, dancing and enjoying to the remix. So cute.

So we walked in and there was obviously this huge crowd of people surrounding the front stage. We decided that we will try to get as front as we can to the stage. At this point, all I see from where we were standing (before we get into the sardine condition), was a rectangle box right in the middle of the stage. I cannot even see the DJ. He's like this little man.

So we hold each other's hand and EJ led us through the people. All kinds of people I see and smell. Err yuckk. Probably half of the dudes out there were topless. I don't think they care whether their body in nice shape or not also, obviously. Oh, and people were sweating and shouting (or singing) and jumping.

It was uncomfortable at first but it got better later on. It probably got better because I was already sweating and being pushed around. And all of them HAS TO BE TALLER THAN ME. I didn't see anything. Just jumped to the beat. Koay was behind me most of the time, with his two arms stretched out next to me. Almost like a bodyguard kind. How cute.

We were having so much fun in there, despite me not seeing Avichii or any DJs since my eye-level view are mostly people's neck with sweats dripping, when Carmen and Christine felt very uneasy-want-to-faint-feeling (they are also short and I think there wasn't enough oxygen for them to breathe). So, we all forcefully try to get out from the crowd which was at this time, worse than when we went in. It was no more sardine packed. It was worse. Whatever that's worse than sardine-packed-crowd, that would be it.

I wasn't even like walking. People were just pushing from all directions. All also want to go front to see Avichii. Only us against the tide. Pure madness man.

This is when it all happens. All in the split of the second.

Christine was in front of me and Koay behind me, being the last man. Imagine this. We were trying to get out as fast as we could because Christine (whom I was holding tightly) was already like fainting so me (behind her) and Jack (in front of her) were making sure that she doesn't drop. In fact, there weren't any space for her to collapse also.

Koay in the meantime, was half-pushing, half-walking and half-jumping. I cannot blame him because the songs were very upbeat and nice and gives you that jumpy-feeling. And since everyone else was also jumping, why not right. Haha.

At one point, I felt my small sling bag pulled to my back (it was in front of me earlier). Immediately I shouted. "BABE! MY BAG!"

He couldn't figure out what I was saying and by the time I moved my right hand to grab it, the cover was already open, and my bag felt emptier than before. I couldn't do anything as it was too crowded.

When we got out of the madness, I opened it. Lo and behold, the S2 wasn't there.

I looked at Koay not believing what I was going to tell him. It was still quite loud so most of the talking was in shouting. Haha. For a while at least.

"My phone is stolen!"

Koay being Koay, he obviously didn't hear what I said.

"My phone is stolen!" His face was even more shocked than how I felt. I don't really know what I feel that time. I can't remember anymore.

The next 30 minutes or so, I just became quiet and so many things ran through my mind. Mostly of the things I need to do now that it's really stolen and gone. I felt very sad at one point because I thought all my photos are all gone too and Sha Lynn's videos. Then, I remembered that last week, I installed Dropbox. Heh. But the videos are really gone la.

Anyways, it took me sometime to get back to that rave-mood. Obviously right?

I actually do miss my S2. It's a very different feeling of when you actually getting a new phone and not using this anymore and suddenly it's taken from you. I didn't even get to like really hold it for one last time and touch the back cover (that's my fav part of the phone). It's so sad indeed. Never get to bid a proper goodbye to my still-look-and-feel-new-S2.

OH! AND WHILE GETTING OUT FROM THE CROWD, S BIGFOOT STEPPED ON MY FLIP FLOP AND LIKE LITERALLY TORE IT TO HALF OR SOMETHING. It felt like it was torn la. And my favorite red-Cotton On-flip flop left me too. I brought back the other side to give Vanessa, since she likes to wear too. Go keep for memory sake. Haha.

I was like this the whole entire time until we got into the car and then I just desperately put on his mom's slippers. Aunty-mode, on.

Oh and Koay wants to buat gaya all so he brought his shades. Also, because people keep telling us that the laser will hurt our eyes, which in fact it didn't at all. Got laser lights meh? So, he was wearing them and he jumped and it fell. Yep, and guess who was stepping on one of it's shades punya kaki? The biggest dude that area. I kid you not. Sumore so packed. Just imagine la. Haha. Such a happening night :)

Senget just like the owner :)

Avichii played his final song and ended the night with fireworks. Fireworks that actually make me go, "Wow!" a lot of times. And I mean A LOT OF TIMES. It's even better than when we celebrate New Year's Eve and stuff. It's a long one sumore. And we were standing at the most strategic place. It feels like the fireworks were for us :)

Going back was horrible because of the jam. Since Christine needed to go back Singapore in few hours time and LCCT is so near, we all decided to makan supper there. Best decision ever. I HATE JAMS.

So yeah. My take on rave. Love ittt. Will I go for more next time? Definitely! :)

We all slept in on Sunday. Jack and Carmen stayed back till Monday so it was only us for the whole 4 hours journey.

Before we went to ever famous banana leaf rice, Nirvana at Bangsar, we dropped by Groupon to collect my three beautiful blue babies! Ahhh. Feels so good to have them in my hands now :)

The bitter gourd is yummms. Best thing is that it can be refilled million of times :)

Overall, I had a very dramatic and happening weekend. I lost a phone, but I did not lose anything else. Oh, lost all contacts too AGAIN. How funny heh.

Armin next year, anyone?

:)

Hot Couple.

She's drop-dead gorgeous.
He's so very good-looking.

Hot couple.

Okaylah, you also very cute lah :)

27 November 2013

Girlie Goal.

So, we are now in the process of sending our Art Director's hardwork to get it printed and then we could start distributing them :)

I wish I have a personal assistant that can do all this things for me. Not only for WhatTwoEatHere, but for my work too. Like when they want me to call up cafes or hotels to do conference and all this. Though I kinda enjoy them, I think I would enjoy having a personal assistant more. Bossy me. Hah.

Maybe next time, in the future, my rank will entitle me to a personal assistant. I sure will demand high pay for her, because working for me must be quite tough. Hahaha. And it'll definitely be a girl because girl can multitask better than guys. Oh, and she can become my fashion person too since I don't really have a very good sense of clothing and up to trend kinda thing. Personal shopper. Hmm.. All that sounds so good lah!

I shall work hard to get to my goal. Hahaha.

What a goal huh.

two more sleeps till mad city.

26 November 2013

Out Here.

Friday, please come fast.

I need to get out of this city for few days.

22 November 2013

My Diet Plan.

I have been eating fairly "healthy" for the past one week.

Okay, before any of you wished to tell me what healthy diet is, please don't. Haha.

I have a very different interpretation of eating healthy or my kind of diet that could make me shed those extra 3.5kg away.

Yes, I'm my own diet-plan. I have no idea if it's going to work at all, but it makes me feel like it is la.

I actually feel lighter? HAHAHA.

I cut down on my rice/noodles intake, that's the main part of the diet. Wait, that's actually the ONLY part of the diet. Heh.

To go on the "real" healthy diet, one needs a very strong motivation, but for me, the motivation is little. Very little.

How to sacrifice normal food and just take breast meat? I cannot lah. Crazy man? If like that, I won't even go out with people for lunch or dinner d. Even supper.

Food is the only thing that I can never be able to resist.

It's only when you tell your body that you want to go on diet, that it started craving for the world.

I do miss spamming on rice like banana leaf rice or something, but surprisingly I still can tahan. So, it's all good :)

Tomorrow got wedding dinner to attend. Very goood. My cheat day :) HAHAHA.

21 November 2013

The Favorite Tee.

How is everyone feeling today?

The 4th day of the week.
I know for most people, Sunday is their day one, but for me, Monday is the first day of the week. That's why Monday blues are so horrible. Start the week with waking up early for work. Heh. Okaylah, no more complaining about that anymore.

I have no idea why but as I was doing my work, I kept thinking about clothes. Yeah, clothes as in t-shirts and dresses.

I suddenly remembered of few t-shirts that I used to have for the longest time ever and how it's now all gone. All gone unvoluntarily.

Too bad I have no photos of them.

One of the t-shirts that I loved most and obviously most remembered is the orange top that's a bit oversized after all these years of washing and drying. It's orange faded a bit, and there's a medium-sized Winnie the Pooh's cartoon in front. When it started to fade a bit, it became my top favorite pajamas. Last time, I would wear them for one week straight to sleep. Haha.

Not only it was faded, it was also very torn at the shoulder area and then the "hole" grew bigger and bigger till my whole right (if I'm not mistaken) shoulder was bare. So sexy tau.

Despite the condition, I still wear it to sleep everytime it's freshly washed, till I noticed it missing months ago. Wait, I think almost a year ago d. Hmm I can't really remember.

Anyways, I went around the house (about a year ago I think) and asked everyone if they saw this orange top of mine. My family all knew exactly what I was talking about because they always see me in it close to bed time.

I remembered clearly that everyone said no. Even Mrs Khoo. So, I just let it go. I was actually sad for few days.

The next thing I know, when I went into the kitchen few days after, I saw this orange cloth that was on the floor, that was obviously used for many days already (by the look of it) and it definitly looked like it was purposely being used at "floor mat"

I picked it up and LO AND BEHOLD, it was MY WINNIE THE POOH'S TOP! I straight gong ki. Like literally lost for words. Emotions also all mixed up. A lot of confusion though.

Everyone laughed when they saw my reaction to it and I wanted to get it washed but mom said it was too late because it was actually very torn by now. SUCH A SAD DAY OKAY!

They all just laughed it off and I was like, so so sad.

Okaylah, at least my sadness didn't take like few days. Not even hours. I think it was probably that 30 minutes after I found it being "tortured"! Hahaha.

I think my mom felt bad because she assumed that I didn't want it anymore since so torn apart d and after that she just threw it away (or at least I think she threw it away la). I'll probably still feel sad everytime I see it on the kitchen floor. Mommy is so caring :))

So, now I no longer have any favorite t-shirt that I can wear to sleep. Waitt.. actually I've got one. His grey (definitely oversized) t-shirt that I now always wear to bed. Haha.

So yeah, that's my take on my favorite top that's rested in peace already.

What's yours?

20 November 2013

The Only One.

As you can see or read in the previous post on the "MARATHON" that both Koay and I did last Sunday, we did not take any photos at all. Got too busy trying to finish the race. Hah.

:)

18 November 2013

Penang Bridge Walkathon.

Who joined the Penang Bridge Marathon this year?

I heard it got really expensive over the years. It's like RM40 plus for just 10km run or something. I wouldn't know how much it actually cost because I would NEVER, and I mean NEVER sign up for marathon/running/exercise events like this.

So, when you see/hear me talk about how much time I took to finish a 10km run, it's because someone (and there's always SOMEONE) from Dream Catcher couldn't make it and they have extra jerseys/numbers etc. Since it's paid for and no one was gonna take it, why not right? Since I've also gained that useless 3.5kg of nonsense in the body.

This time, however I decided to get Koay come along too. Also, since he needed keep his feet exercised (he injured his ankle's ligament, almost tore it entirely), why not accompany me right?

But he couldn't run so we walked from the beginning right till the end.

At first, I thought it was going to be super nice and stress-free to walk alongside the injured boy and maybe we could watch sunrise too. I was wrong. Not that it was horrible. It was just bleh. Walking was no fun when everyone else was running. I felt like running but I didn't want to leave him behind, carrying his heavy bag (people's wallets, mobile phones, water bottles and snacks). Yes, we even took turns to carry that burden. So sweeet. Haha.

Anyways, it was hard not to run when one by one, people are running/walking really fast past us and guess what he was doing 90% of the time!

HE WAS TALKING NON-STOP!

Of all the time he feels like yakking at that time. I mean SERIOUSLY TALKING ABOUT EVERYTHING. Hahaha. I know I sounded like I'm complaining now about him, but it's really not. I'm just amazed at what this guy is up to and it always surprises me, whether in a good way or bad. HAHA.

I remembered at one point, I even ask politely, "Babe, can you keep quiet for like 5 minutes ah? Just 5 minutes so I can walk peacefully?"

Guess what he did!

Took a bottle, removed the cap and poured some on my head. Yep, he was that bored. And he continued asking questions that I never answer. I kinda just enjoyed ignoring him and laughing when he get so frustrated that no one is answering him to anything.

HOW TO TALK WHEN YOU'RE IN A MARATHON?

Okayla, for us it was walkathon all the way. But still, I need to save my energy to finish the "race" ma.

Oh and we find it really difficult to reach the finish line. It was so far! 10kn seems like an easy task for us in the beginning, but believe it or not. We were the few last (if not last, but we kinda think that we were the last) in our 10km category to finish.

We took two hours to finally end it. TWO HOURS!

And what's worse is that the 10km fun-runners passed us like nobody's business. So paised when we walked to the right side where the sign says "10km/Half Marathon" and on the left was the sign that says, "Full Marathon"!

WE WERE THE ONLY TWO HUMANS WALKED PASSED THAT SIGN! *embarrased*

We did finish though we never get any medal or free bananas or fee cereals. Ain't nobody got time for that.

Just when we thought the worse is no more. We then realized we had to walk back to Krystal Point to meet with my sister. And then only we actually started running for a while, until both our legs couldn't take it anymore.

BEST FEELING IS WHEN YOU OVER-WALKED YOUR LEGS AND YOU FINALLY GET TO SIT DOWN AND NOT MOVE A SINGLE MUSCLE.

Since it's Sunday, we of course rushed to church after having no-shampoo-no-shower-gel-bath (kidding! I did use all the shampoo and body soap. I'm not sure about his though! HAHA). Oh, and despite all that rushing from south side, we were still earlier than Nic! Booyahh! :)

Oh, such a healthy Sunday.

p.s I no longer want to just walk in a marathon (that's if I still actually want to join..)

15 November 2013

Haters Gotta Hate.

You probably already expected this post coming for those of you who saw my latest Instagram photo and its caption.

But then again, come to think about it, I think I'm not going to talk about is so much though I actually want to. Haha.

Just two people posting hate-notes. I say hate-notes because the way they commented feels like we have stepped on their feet or something. I mean, it is our honest opinion. And I still do think the soya bean is super overrated and expensive (although it's only RM0.90 per bowl/glass) because they serve in such a small amount. So yeah. My rating is very low because it isn't that good as how people are worshipping it. Heh. Oh wellz.

It's very nice to receive encouraging notes from friends. It is my first time receiving this kind of response, but since we re doing this for fun, I'm going to learn to receive them and not allowing it to affect me in that way. Yes, I am expecting more mean comments coming.

I say until as if I celebrity or something. JOKER LA ME.

Anyways, I am sooooo glad that it's Friday already! It has been crazy week and now crazy week has got to leave.

Two more weeks to short holiday again. Ahhh! I need vacation, whether long or short EVERY MONTH!

Okaylah, I think I just made it a must to travel for holidays at least once a month!

YESLAAA!

14 November 2013

Up Up Here We Go.

Because very few people can make it for captain ball, so we cancelled it.

We went hiking instead.

It's been like what? Like years or a lot of months since I last hiked a "mountain"! Haha.

Some of them didn't want to go but after much persuasion like, "Oh, you know the view up there is like so breathtaking and Insta-worth-it-kind!" and it worked. Yes, one of them is my sister. She's probably the only one that needed to be persuaded. Heh.

There are so many stairs that when we reached Level 3, I thought I had no energy left in me to go all the way up to Level 5, but of course we all did. WE ALL DID.

Something about exercise is that at the time when you're doing it, it feels so horrible. For me, I definitely need someone who constantly "pushes" me to keep going. Not so much of, "you can do it Sarah" but more of "let's do this together".

Got difference right? The first one doesn't feel like it helps. I mean, of course I know I can do it, but whether or not I want to continue being in that pain and go forth. The second one makes me feel like if I stop, you would stop too and I wouldn't want that. So, that kind of push works better on me. Hah. Very the picky type of girl leh.

Anyways, we all had a lot of fun. A LOT. We saw Backstreet Boys too! *inside joke*

Oh, and we all came in like pairs-clothing. And no, we didn't plan it. JUST SO CHUN.

LOVE ITTT! I love dress codes and everyone wearing same colour  It's like so happy kind of mood :)

13 November 2013

Me, US Visa Pro.

I now know how to apply for my own US Visa next time.

It's going to costs me RM512 with the exchange rate at three point two.

And that's just visa alone.

I also know that it'll probably be from the B class, for tourist.

It is fun to be busy but I just didn't expect that I would get THIS packed for the entire day and night.

No, I'm not complaining but it's a good thing that it's not going to be like a permanent long hours thing.

I can't even imagine working in a bank or anywhere else that's so busy. I'm thankful :)

St. Jude Medical always send their staffs to United States for training. WHY SO FUN! And most of their paycheck is SO THE VERY AMAZING figure wise. Heh.

MUST MAKE TIME FOR MYSELF soon.

12 November 2013

No Time.

From Monday till today and I foresee for the next few days, I will not that extra time to breathe.

Not in office.

Not outside of office at night.

However it is, I am super excited to start filming our food-blog adventure tomorrow.

Just a little preview: there will be roughly 10 series that's coming out. Yeah, something like Jalan-Jalan Cari Makan kind..

:)

08 November 2013

Friday Night Like This.

Friday night and I just want to be home, right after food tasting dinner with him.

Head-band on, contact lens out and glasses on, oversized jersey and dis-coloured shorts and lie on the couch, be comfortable and watch TV.

Not really watching also actually. More like day-dreaming while Koay gets entertained on TV with Journey to the Mysterious Island.

Goodnight everyone.

Probably going to have some Cheerios before I enter dream world.

07 November 2013

Alone Time.

Tonight is my kind of night.

Everyone needs that once in a while.

Sometimes.

It's about time to get the twenty nails done.

Then maybe nasi tomato after that?

:)

06 November 2013

My Public-Holiday Tuesday.

Let's start from the night before since Monday night was the start of the holiday mode.

Barbeque by the beach was happening at around 6.30pm and after setting up almost everything and finally get some stuff cooking, it started to pour like no one's business. Run for our lives to a landed property/home-schooled house. We ended up cooking all the raw stuff with oven and gas. Stir fry, deep fry, grill, baked. You named it. We prolly did it.

It's times like these that makes people remember of the night, although I would still prefer if we could have spent the entire night by the salt water. Oh wellz.

So, Monday night was pretty fun, wet, messy and filled with lots of laughter.

Tuesday!

Woke up near lunch time. BOY THAT FEELS SOOO GOOD!

We helped our friends from KDU College to do some "Need or Need Not" video. Let me tell you something. Acting is not tough. Acting is VERYYYY tough! I don't know how the pros do it but for me, it sure felt like torture to turn myself into another mode, which in this case was an angry annoyed mom shouting at her daughter for being annoyingly noisy and stuff. Yeah, scolding loudly in the public. Hence, the video's theme, "Need or Need Not"

After that, we went all touristy to The History Museum. Photos are all in random orders. Then, went for some coffee chocolate iced cube milk and japonaise cake. Got back home and managed to close our eyes for a good 30 minutes, then off we went to the other side of the island for dinner! Last minute movie since we don't know what else to do in the mall.

Such a long drive home and got so tired that I almost didn't want to bathe before I jumped onto my bed. Of course I bathed in the end!

Waking up this morning was err..

Oh well, few more days to the weekend again. Still got 2 days before this person re-adjust the working mode :)

04 November 2013

Painful Massage.

Oh what a weekend it has been.

The highlight of this one would be the trip to Rejeune with my sister on Saturday. I actually had to forgo a training in church because she had to bring someone and this isn't like any normal massage.

It's called Deep Meridian Full Body Therapy.

Effects: Deep penetration through full body dredging of meridians to unblock blood vessels, nourishes internal organ cells, to achieve skin rejuvenation from the inside out and strengthen immune system.

This is not a relaxing-kind-of-massage where you fall asleep halfway. This is torture.

Yep, from the start till the end, i remembered being in my most intense self-defensive mode, though most of the times I tried my best to not let out any "Ouch!" or "Please go softer!"

And this massage covers EVERY part of the body. Quite comfortable right after it ended, but not one day later. Now I can still feel some soreness here and there.

Basically, it helps in smoothen out the blood flow in the body and stuff. A lot of pain everywhere just means that the blood flow in that area has been not so good hence the pain. Some people even have bruises, like my sister. No thanks for me :)

So yeah, painful weekend.

Working today was pretty tough but then tomorrow holiday again. Syiokk!

Tonight barbeque by the beach sumore. Double syiokk!

:)

01 November 2013

It's Friday!

TGIF.

TGIF.

TGIF!

TGIF!!

TGIF!!!

So happy to know that I don't have to wake up according to the alarm clock tomorrow :)

31 October 2013

30 October 2013

It's Okay.

I stood under the hot sun and honked thousands of times, but still no one came.

I stopped honking my car in the end because I didn't want to disturb all the working people at lunchtime.

Usually, when someone parks their car right in front of mine, after few honks, car owner will come out and apologized and then we smiled at each other and I will say, "It's okay!"

But this person, did not show up at all. I went to all four floors of the building to which the car was facing and no one owns that car. No one.

I stood there for a while (under the shade this time) and nothing happened. My car is still stuck with his/her car blocking my way!

Then, I started walking to the back lane where there's short-cut to MGS and then my house. I was supposed to pick Kelly up. All the short-cuts were locked. LOCKED.

I called mom and she handled the pick-Kelly-up-dilemma. Me? Rang Koay 6 times but he never answer. At this point, my blood was already boiling at its maximum and his ringtone decided to be at low volume or something. Not his fault le.

Anyways, in the end I walked to the nearest Thai Restaurant and tapau-ed Fried Chicken with Basil.

Yes, it's Thai Food that made the girl okay again in the end.

I checked my window every 2 hours to see if the black wira is still there.

Guess what?

The black piece of junk was still in front of my car at six pm. SIX PM! Time for me to go home and unwind. STILL THERE! Where got people so inconsiderate eh!

Good thing Koay called and fetched me home. I left my car there the entire night and this morning my dad had to fetch me to work. I was so mad at the black wira, but somehow I managed to keep cool and still thanked God for the whole incident.

PFE 5128.

Yeah, I can still remember because I repeated them ten thousand times in the span of 15 minutes.

HOWEVER, ON ANOTHER STORY/INCIDENT, GOD HAS ONCE AGAIN SHOWED THAT WHEN I PUT HIS WORK FIRST PRIORITY, HE WILL ENABLE ALL THE IMPOSSIBLE TO HAPPEN. ONE IMPOSSIBLE JUST HAPPENED AT WORK! GOD IS ABLE AND MORE REAL THAN YOU CAN EVER IMAGINED :)

29 October 2013

Cheerios and Chocolate Milk.

Last night we had dinner at home and off we went to Tesco in two separate cars (so that he don't have to fetch me home again from his place).

And we actually ate again before we started shopping for groceries. Sticky mango rice at his friend's shop, The Little Siam :)

Then, as we push the trolley down each alley, we were suddenly super motivated to want to start eating healthy. JUST SUDDENLY!

Then, we find ourselves looking for healthy stuff and then he started buying a lot of things to which I thought was going to be his breakfast. Nope, not breakfast. All the ingredients are for supper the same night. I was like, "Wuut? Seriously? Who's going to cook?" He looked at me and smiled. Of course, I smiled back too and happy girl I was.

He saw pita bread with herbs and there he goes. Choosing cucumber and onions and breast meat. I was ready to eat, though I don't exactly know what he's going to do or how he's going to cook the ingredients and stuff them into the pita bread.

We went back to his place and we started cooking. I said WE because we both did. He told me he planned to cook the fillings of the pita bread with chili sauce, and I decided I was going to grill the breast meat with just salt and pepper. So, we kinda had a "let's-see-who's-chicken-taste-better-contest.

Of course, mine tasted fabulous. I know he was very shocked when he tasted my chicken because in the back of his mind, he thought that it would a rather tasteless chicken since I had no sauce with it. AND HE LIKED MY CHICKEN BETTER THAN HIS! :)

Actually, his overall dish was super yummy. I didn't eat a lot of it because my teeth/gum was hurting, but I love it! But mine is a lot healthier :)

Oh and he washed all the dishes WILLINGLY. Ahhh, this one needs to continue till death-do-us-part.

Anyways, I have no idea why I just spent so much time talking about the supper when I wanted to talk about whatever the title said.

I am not someone who eats cereal and milk in the morning. I don't even like milk. And I don't usually eat breakfast (though the doctor recommended it). So, since we suddenly got the motivation (actually it could be because I found out that I've gained 3.5kg minutes before shopping begins), I decided why not try Cheerios. The only time I heard about anyone talked about Cheerios was when I watch Glee. I figured it should be yummy since it's always talked about in other movies. Then, Koay said that have to eat cereals with milk if not it won't be nice. The problem is I don't like milk. He suggested chocolate milk, so okaylah.

I actually can't wait to start eating them for lunch and dinner (not all the time), just when I don't feel like eating anything else or when I feel fat. Hahaha.

28 October 2013

Partners In Prayer.

We hold hands and we take turns to pray.

Not every night because we don't get to see each other every day, but when we can, when we do see each other and get to give each other goodnight hugs and I get to get my favorite forehead kisses, we pray.

If the previous time he prayed then it's my turn next.

Last night was my turn.

When I'm really tired, sometimes I just forgot to pray.

He reminded, "Eh, let's pray!"

I looked at him and nodded.

He held my hand and there was quite a long silent. Yeah, I actually thought it was his turn, and he was waiting for me to start. Ohh so silly and laugh-able moment.

I prayed for his family, my family, his work, my work, our friends, our future and our relationship.

Nights like these, I'm very thankful for.

thank You, Jesus :)

Club Med Launching.

Working on a Saturday has got to be everyone's nightmare!

Initially, I thought it was going to be horrible having to work till 6pm, but it turns out that I'm actually enjoying myself.

Only six of us had to stay back and assist any walk-in clients in regards of the ongoing Club Med Promotion. So yeah, convincing people to go for Club Med makes me kinda happy especially when they actually want to go after much talking.

Two amazing promotion that's until 1st November:
CLUB MED CHERATING (with RETURN AIR TICKET WITH FIREFLY)
3D2N - Only from RM926
4D3N - Only from RM1492

CLUB MED PHUKET (with RETURN AIR TICKET WITH FIREFLY)
3D2N - Only from RM1244
4D3N - Only from RM1719

For those who have been to Club Med, you will know that this promotion is SUPER CHEAP! SUPERR! :)

I have time to do some blogging now because currently no clients in front of me, and I'm feeling so so sleepy. Ate so much good food just now. Let's see what I had okay.

A plate of char koay teow with white prawns
Abu Siti Lane coconut drink
Deep fried fish with sambal
Grilled stuffed squid with black shallot sauce
A mini plate of loh bak
A bowl of laksa
Nasi lemak's cucumber and hard boiled eggs with sambal

All that with no one to share with. THE FOOD WAS SUPER YUMMY sumore.

Okaylah, to make myself not feel so guilty, I will therefore not eat dinner. i shall be starved for eating more than one main.

*burps*

Some Time.

Somehow I can always find some time to update. It relaxes me, in the weirdest way.

Woke up this morning to one of the sweetest dream ever had. Sweetest!

Felt super real! :)

Art Director Stress.

Never will I ever thought that I would be having this kind of conversation with our Art Director on our food blog. Yeah, you see that right. The fact that we even have an Art Director is beyond unbelievable.

Art Director: I decided to give him this job title because he's already an executive on his real job. Okay, not that this isn't real, but this is definitely not a job. It's his passion and he's a good friend and he's here to help the two bloggers, who know NOTHING about designing and stuff like that.

So, while conservating about the name card (that he's also helping us with), it suddenly hit me that we have been food-blogging for ONE year EIGHT months and ONE day.

Wuuuuut?

WhatTwoEatHere is birthed on the 22 February 2012. You can click here for our first post :)

Since it started, I did most of the designing works (which is not a lot at all) and our another good friend helped us with the cartoon character. Her work is sooo cute I tell you. So yeah, pretty much that's all we did to "beautify" the blog. And when we realized that we needed name card for our blog, we knew then we needed someone's help in that. If you give both of us this task, sure kaput. Confirm not nice at all.

Then, when we were talking about the progress of the logo/web with him, it immediately brings me back to the start of all this good-madness. Not to mention, we are starting to earn US Dollars from Google AdSense. That itself is a milestone for WhatTwoEatHere. I don't know if you all know that Google AdSense doesn't simply allow any webs to put on their advertisements. That's why when they approved us, we were so excited that we decided to take that as a reason to makan besar! :)

Our Art Director is little too busy till end of this year, so our NEW image will not be out so soon.

I'M STILL EXCITED TO SEE THE END PRODUCT!

:)

Family Bowling Night.

One of the things that WE (the whole entire family/clan/cousins/uncles and aunties/grandparents/nieces and nephews) usually do all together is playing sports. Futsal, done that. Picnic, check (some sort of sports since we usually end up running along the beach playing kalitoi) and now, the most recent one that happened was BOWLING.

We picked that date, which falls on a Sunday because my cousin's wedding day is today and we thought of having family activities close to each other to build up the momentum for tonight. Hahaha. I think that's prolly why la.

And this family of mine is huge. My Khoo grandparents  have 6 kids. 3 girls first then 3 boys. My dad is the eldest son among the boys, but overall, he's the fourth child. So, to make this bowling event a success, of course we had to have some sort of healthy competition.

Four groups in total. Four in each team. All color-coded as well :)

After that, we adjourned to Homes Chef Garden for makan-makan. A very simple dinner because we were going to have a good dinner the next day for my cousin's bachelorette party, where I actually walloped 5 bowls of tu-thor-th'ng. My gosh their tu-thor-th'ng is sooooo goood!

Pretty obvious which group became champion :)

Oh such fun times.

More bonding sessions tonight at the wedding dinner. I can't wait to feast! :)

Loving Singapore.

So, if you have been talking to me since I came back to Penang, you would have already known that my trip down to Singapore has been a very pleasant one, or if you follow me on Instagram and Facebook.

Of course there are some people telling me that it's nice and I love it because I was on a holiday (not really because I was there for a seminar) and it's totally different if I am actually working there, you know like it's really competitive and stuff. I agree that it could be because I was kinda on some kind of holiday mood and hey, grass is greener on the other side ma right? Not always but I think in Singapore, everything is greener, cleaner and nicer. Haha. I still love Penang! :)

So yeah, it was a very nice trip. I shall just put my experiences in point forms.

  • Brought too many things in my cabin luggage. Limit was 7kg but mine was 11kg, but the lady let me go :)
  • Real shark fin soup is really yummy and it's nowhere near to the ones we usually eat in weddings or chinese restaurants.
  • Tasted the must-have-drink-while-in-Singapore, the Singapore Sling.
  • Went to the 70th floor of Swissotel and viewed the island. Pretty sight and pretty girl DJ.
  • Took loads of photos at Collyer Quay of Marina Bay Sands and the Singapore Flyer. LOVE THE VIEW!
  • Walked to Clarke Quay and almost got ourselves killed with the fast incoming car because the traffic/walkway was a bit too far.
  • Blessed a man singing with his guitar at the river-under-tunnel because his voice was soooooo gooooood!
  • Became pretty close to two girls from Sri Lanka and one from Korea.
  • Travelled barefoot from Clarke Quay to Park Royal, Beach Road. Those who stays in Singapore would know how far that is. Oh and all that happened at 1am.
  • Got lost in the city of Merlion.
  • Tasted the famous Rochor's 'tau huey' and 'tau chui' on the arrival night.
  • The hotel that we stayed in has one of the most amazing pillow and blanket and bed.
  • The President of Travel Corporation brought the four girls around and became our Travel Director/Tour Guide of the night.
  • Walked to Bugis Street in the evening and got some Robert Timm's coffee (recommended by my manager) and some bottled baby food.
  • Visited Trafalgar's office. The building that their offices are in is huge and very Gotham-like.
  • Walked everywhere and never once used its public transport.
  • Explored Haji Lane and saw so many shops with cute dresses, but oh so pricey. STILL LOVE THE LANE A LOT. So many cafes along it too.
  • Skyped with the bangla for few minutes. Poor boy waited for me till very late.
  • Chilled at a Spanish Tapas Bar called Octapas at 12:30am and enjoyed a glass of Sangria, to the live band music and by the riverside.
  • Found out that Nevar is Korean's Google :)
  • Changi Airport is soooo huge!
  • To  travel from PEN-SIN, it only take one hour or less. HOW CONVENIENT! :)

20 October 2013

Sunday Funday.

Such a long "weekend" it has been.  Sort of. It's like holiday got extended or something. Not that I'm complaining or anything.

Loving my Sunday so far :)

It has gotta be the weirdest/awkwardest place to swim or take a dip and try to relax. There were like shoppers looking over to our place and staring as we continue to "try" to relax and zone out. Hahaha. But overall, the place very windy and the water was pretty warm. SUPER NICE.

Of course after that we went to Bangkok Lane and wallop away :)

I hope no Monday blues tomorrow..

30 minutes to Khoo's Bowling Competition :)

16 October 2013

Hours of Happiness.

FIVE hours to boarding time.

EIGHT hours to soak in the bathtub.

:)

14 October 2013

Good Monday.

So, I came into the office today and got a call from my manager first thing in the morning.

Her: I want you to go down to Singapore with Serena this Wednesday till Friday for a Trafalgar product talk. Do you think you'll be able to make it?
Me: Err... Yes. Definitely yes!

So, in less than an hour, my flight is booked and found out that I was going to stay at the Park Royal Hotel.

*jaw drops*

It's probably nothing huge and fancy, but hey, having to stay at a 4-stars hotel in Singapore (since spending money in Singapore is such painful thing) for my first time to this country is quite a big thing for me.

We already made some plans to even visit Singapore for our second anniversary next year, staying over at a friend's or something. But this, this is just so sweeeeet.

Thank You, Jesus, for listening to all my complains and giving me this very-needed-break!

I can't wait to visit the Merlion and put on the green light for my tourist mode.

THREE DAYS AND TWO NIGHTS.
Singapore, here I come :)

12 October 2013

Realization.

I realized that I already made certain plans to get that Sony that can go underwater (since we both love snorkelling quite a lot) and I've totally forgotten about it till today.

That makes me question myself if I really do need to get them now/soon.

I also realized that I ALSO made certain plans to get the luggage sets of 3 different sizes and I'm just waiting for the right time/brand/color to get them.

So, I basically need to sacrifice one.

I don't know which one.

I need both.

Oh, and not to mention the BIG holiday that I'm saving up for early next year.

I just realized that there are too many thing that I suddenly "need" ever since I started working a year ago. This is bad, guys.

Such is the life.
